(Photo by Will Steward)Never in a million years did I think I would actually have an “update” to a post I had written back in July of 2012 I cheekily titledPaper or Plastic **the back story**I’m sorry, this might offend but there is just something about picking up a dogged eared book and getting so totally lost in its pages that when the story is done you are itching for more.
My love for books has been something that my parents nurtured and cultivated my entire life. I remember staring up at bookshelves overflowing with paperbacks, hardcovers and stacks upon stacks of magazines.
Boring books with no pictures.
Books filled with strange pictures.
Small books, large books.
Books that smelled musty and brand new books that creaked when you opened them.
*happy sigh*
Maybe that explains the ferocious appetite I have…

You see, I don’t read at all, but my husband could spend HOURS reading and he does sometimes.

My parents are both avid readers as are my husband and myself. So far the middle two love a good book as well. I look at it as an excuse to purchase scholastic books.

I like reading a lot, it’s probably my only steady hobby. I love perusing the aisles at my local used book store and finding books that interest me.

We have a ton of used book stores where I live and I find I could wander around for hours!

I used to read quite a lot. No time now. I’d rather get a workout in if I had free time or just a moment to watch some TV just to relax. So far I’m too busy 🙂

I’m with you (minus the workout)
My hubby tried to convince me I could read on a stationary bike but it was an epic flop

I am a huge reader, and there is nothing I love more than spending a day in a bookstore!

Me too!! I just wish there were more hours in the day for when I’m lost in a story line and I don’t want to leave!

I have always loved visiting libraries as a child. I loved the smell, look and feel of all the glorious books. I hope my kids take after me. .

I still love holding a ‘real’ book in my hands, I still haven’t switched to digital books yet because of it!

I love to read and still hold a book not an ipad or iphone! My kids are all readers too, and my husband is an english teacher, so he comes by it naturally.

Book lover here too! I grew up in the library reading everything I could get my hands on. While I love the feel of a book I like the convenience of digital books. Plus they don’t take up as much space. Even though I never go back to read a book, I have a hard time letting it go after I purchased it…so digital helps, a lot – though I still have over 200 books in boxes!
